Doug has a wealth of experience gained from over 20 years in the corporate world, plus time spent working for the CRA as a tax auditor. In 2006, he left the corporate world to strike out on his own. For several years he honed his craft working closely with a small accounting firm in the GTA, while growing his Barrie area client base.
Doug brings that corporate experience, his CRA knowledge and his small business experience to his clients today. He has a passion for small business. Whether working closely with the owner of a local company or helping someone through a personal tax issue, his enthusiasm is clear. He truly enjoys his work and wants his clients to succeed.
Doug is a long time Barrie resident and has served on the Board of Directors of several charities, the Greater Barrie Chamber of Commerce and his condominium corporation. Since 2019 he has taught a few finance and accounting courses at Georgian College, something he enjoys very much.
